1820settlers.com have Benjamin's wife as Mary Woodcock, not Mary Alcock. a Child was baptised in 1802 - Joyce Sarah Patrick St. Martin's Leicester.
Those baptisms found for some of the children that accompanied Benjamin Patrick to South Africa were Wesleyan - suggesting this was not his marriage.

Response from 1820Settlers.com
The info that I have originally came from a Sharon Marshall from Cape Town - email <smarshall@absamail.co.za> and it looks like she used family search for her references. I haven't heard from Sharon for a good few years now, so I hope her email address is still the same.
I have also had info from a Wendy Barnes, but her info had Benjamin's spouse as not known, so that doesn't help.
M D Nash in her 'The Settlers Handbook' lists Benjamin without a wife, but four of his children - Martha, Job, Sarah and Samuel, as part of Sephton's party. I also have a note that Benjamin Patrick married a Mary Witnall in 1822 in Grahamstown.
Sarah Jane married James Whittaker Barnes, and one of their daughters was named Arabella Woodcock Barnes, which is also an indication of that surname being in the family or closely related or friendly with.
Question is, when did Mary Woodcock die and where. Must have been in the UK before 1820 and after 1813 when Samuel is born, and most likely in Leicestershire.
