Benjamin Smith, of Merrimack

It is remarkable that a record of the marriage of Capt. John Lovewell has not been discovered, or that tradition does not make known the full name of his wife. Her Christian name was Hannah. She was the executrix of his estate and a few years later married Benjamin Smith of Merrimack, in whose family her children were reared.
