However, Surany fief changed owners in 1393 when king Zigmund of Luxemburg gave it to Stibor of Stiborice. However, this change did not happen without a problem. Benedikt Thuroczy (or Benedikt of Turiec) seized the castle and refused to give it up. So, Stibor had to capture it by force.
