Bernardus Hermanus (18 August 1872 – 16 October 1939) married Anna Maria Petronella de Wet (27 July 1879 – 5 March 1940). daughter of Jacobus Ignatius and Johanna Sophia (nee Human) de Wet. Arrived with his parents in 1895 and settled on Mooilaagte. In 1914 he organised the first local government school known as the Mooilaagte Junior School. The Principle was Mr. Francis Eagar. The children, all day-scholars.
