About Bertha Mae Barnett
Bertha (Bement) Barnett was a fashionable young lady. When she was young, she raced Model T Fords. She was beautiful and married Herman, which lasted for over 60 years. She had two children, Floyd Barnett and Betty Ann Barnett Biggs, and after her sister Tina Lee Bement Rice died at a young age, she and Herman opened their home in the summertime to her nephews, Wayne and James Rice. They visited Bertha and Herman throughout their lives, calling her affectionately, "Auntie Bert". She and Herman had a wonderful marriage and relationship. She was a General Baptist and a member of the Order of Eastern Star.
