Elizabeth Hinton “Betty”, age 85, on Thursday, August 21, 2008 went home to be with the lord and those that proceeded her: Joseph H. Seagrave, Sr. married of 30 years, Carroll J. Hinton, married of 34 years, her six deceased sons Joseph, Morriss, James, Bruce, George, and David Seagrave and one daughter Judy Eckert. She is survived by her daughters Elizabeth Turner, Ruth Hoolahan, Jeanette Lord, Mary Waterhouse, and Ellen Howells and her sons Thomas, Robert, Albert and Gerald Seagrave and her step-son Robert Hinton. Also survived by her brother Harold Hoffman, Sr. and her two sisters Virginia Hiles and Bertha Ladislaw. Grandmother of 29; Great-Grandmother of 37; and Great-Great-Grandmother of 2.

Born and raised in Clayton, Betty was a resident of Williamstown for the past 41 years. She enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casino, crocheting, and going to her senior citizens clubs. She was an active member of the Trinity United Methodist Church of Clayton.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Monday, August 25, 2008 from 7 PM to 9 PM and on Tuesday, August 26, 2008 from 10 AM to 11 AM at the Barclay Funeral Home, 208 Maple Street, Clayton. Funeral service on Tuesday at 11 AM at the funeral home. Interment Gloucester County Veterans Cemetery, Williamstown. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Down Syndrome Foundation, 10750 Old County Road 15, Plymouth, MN 55441.
