Betty Lou "Butchie" (Selfridge) Cipullo, 77, of Lawrenceville, formerly of Butler, died Sunday at The Willows in Oakmont.

Born in Butler on Dec. 27, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Gurn E. Selfridge and Rose E. (Gallaher) Selfridge.

Mrs. Cipullo was a 1949 graduate of Butler High School and earned a degree in nursing from Mercy Hospital. She was a registered nurse at Mercy Hospital for several years and also was an office nurse for Dr. Fakes.

She was a dedicated family member and health care provider, much loved by her family members, friends and patients.

She was a member of Immaculate Conception in Bloomfield.

She was the wife of the late Matthew J. Cipullo, who she married April 5, 1972.

She is survived by a brother, Robert "Bob" Selfridge of Somerdale, N.J.; and by many much loved nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters, Willis M. Selfridge, Guy E. Selfridge, Calvin L. Selfridge, Paul E. Selfridge, Clair L. "Bud" Selfridge, Lorain L. (Walter) Exton, Marjorie R. (John) Hartman and Marie L. (Charles) Thompson.

CIPULLO — Services for Betty Lou "Butchie" (Selfridge) Cipullo, who died Sunday, Oct. 4, 2009, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Burket-Truby Funeral Home Cremation & Alternative Services, 421 Allegheny Ave., Oakmont, with Father Frank Kurimsky officiating. Graveside services and burial will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the St. Paul Cemetery in Butler with Father Steve Neff of St. Paul Catholic Church officiating.
