Mrs. Rush H. Limbaugh, 86 of Cape Girardeau, died Friday at Southeast Hospital, where she had been a patient for one day. The former Miss Seabaugh was born May 3, 1891 at Sedgewickville, daughter of the late Emerson Seabaugh and Emma (Eisenberg) Seabaugh. She was a native of Bollinger County and was educated in the public school and Academy at Sedgewickville and Normal School of Cape Girardeau. She began her teaching career at the age of 16, and taught in the rural schools of Bollinger and Cape Girardeau counties for seven years. On August 24, 1914 she married Rush Hudson Limbaugh at Cape Girardeau Co., MO. She and Mr. Limbaugh observed their 63rd wedding anniversary on August 29. A resident of Cape since 1916, she took an active interest in the community and her church, Centenary Methodist; and began teaching children's classes for Sunday school at the age of 14. She had served as president of the P.E.O. and Parents Teachers Assoc. at Central and University High School. She was member of the Cape Girardeau Garden Club; Southeast Hospital Auxiliary; and mother's auxiliary of Boy Scouts; Wednesday Club; MO Federated Women's Club; served on the board of Girls Town; and active in Mountain Grove Home for Girls. Surviving are her husband; three sons, Rush H. Limbaugh, Jr. of Cape Girardeau, MO; Stephen N. Limbaugh of Cape Girardeau, MO; Manley O. Limbaugh of Chester, IL; a brother, Bland F. Seabaugh of Campbell, MO; a sister, Myrtle Seabaugh of Cape Girardeau, MO; ten grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A son, Daniel F. Limbaugh, and a daughter that died at birth, preceded her in death. Services were Sunday at Centenary Methodist Church. Burial was in Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau, MO.
