Beverly Rae Sturgill

TWIN FALLS • Beverly Rae (Crowley) Sturgill passed away at her home Friday, Jan. 16, 2015.

Beverly was born in Pocatello, Idaho, to Ethelda and Les Crowley on June 4, 1930. Beverly and her family moved to Twin Falls, where she attended grade school, junior high and high school. She graduated from University of Utah in 1952 with a degree in theater.

On Dec. 19, 1951, she married Eugene Sturgill in the Idaho Falls Temple. Beverly was the mother of seven children, five sons and two daughters. Beverly was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, as well as an active member in the community of Twin Falls. In 1962, Beverly created and began directing Community Children’s Theater. In 1974, she taught and directed the Performing Arts.

Beverly is preceded in death by her son, Corey Lynn Sturgil;l and her parents, Ethelda and Les Crowley. Beverly is survived by her husband, Eugene; her children; her grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and siblings.

The family requests donations be made to the Twin Falls Library or a charity of your choice.

Viewing for Beverly will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 22, at Rosenau Funeral Home. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 23, at the 4th Ward LDS Chapel, 667 Harrison St. in Twin Falls. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
