Bhana Parsotam

Came from Kadod in 1893. Started cafe/restaurant business at 393 Pine Street (site of ol Pit Str. post office). Moved business to 155 Victoria Str. and then settled in Tollgate. Went to India & married Dudieben. The Tollgate property (present site of the entire Westridge Park) belonged to him, with a general dealer business in the front and a huge barracks-like settlement behind. This was a refuge for teh early Gujarati settlers from India. He was also the founder member of teh Surat Prajapati Association and well known for his humanitarian work amongst early settlers
