About Billie Pearl Coleman

Funeral services for Billie Pearl Coleman, our precious beloved mother, grandmother, and friend went home to be with the Lord on April 24, 2001. She was born on Jan. 5, 1928, in North Zulch, Texas and has resided in Conroe for the past 50 years. Billie was employed by J.C. Penny Co., as a display designer for over 15 years. She also drove a school bus for C.I.S.D. Later she became the owner of a real estate company, and was original owner of the Garden Cafe. Her latter years were spent loving and caring for the elderly.

In the eyes of her family and friends, she was a "picture" of the Proverbs 31 woman. "She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom and faithful instructions is on her tongue. She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children arise and call her blessed. Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all. A woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. She is worth far more that rubies. Give her the reward she has earned, and let her works bring praise."

Billie is survived by her daughters, Frances Kay Rice Bates and husband, Troy of Saginaw, Texas, Donna Price and husband Jimmy of Montgomery and Kay Coleman of Boerne, Texas; and son, Bill Coleman and wife, Donna of Willis. Her grandchildren are Cole, Kelly and Cade Price of Montgomery, KyAnn Coleman of Boerne, Texas, Stephanie Swann and husband, Jason of Conroe, Justin and Mandi Coleman of Willis; and a great-grandson, Reid Swann. Numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives also survive. She also leaves behind a beloved sister, Dorothy Schroeder and husband, Ben of Conroe; and a dear friend and loving companion Bill Torres of Houston.

Bille will be remembered for her kindness, generosity and compassion for all. We are grateful for the way she enriched our lives and we take comfort in knowing that she is safely in the arms of Jesus.

Funeral services will be Saturday, April 28, 2001 at 11 a.m. in the Metcalf Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lloyd Maddoux and the Rev. Randy Weaver officiating. Interment will be 2 p.m. in Willow Hole Cemetery in Madison County.

Pallbearers to serve are Randy Roan, Russell Roan, Jason Weighat, Dwayne McWhorter, Robert Schroeder and Craig Weighat.

Visitation will be Friday, April 27, 2001 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
