About Bjørn Pedersen Sanden

Kilde: http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/l/e/f/Kenneth-A-Leffin/WEBSITE-0001/UHP-0626.html''' ---------- Notes for Bjorn Pedersen Sanden: In 1729 Pal Hansen Narmannvika transferred a deed for a portion of land in Narmannvika to Bjorn and Carl Pedersonner. In 1732 Bjorn Taraldsen transferred the rights to another "parcel" in Narmannvika to Bjorn and Carl Pedersonner. The same year Peder Pedersen and Gunder Hansen (the latter on his wife's behalf) transferred the inherited landed property in Narmannvika to Bjorn and Carl Pedersonner.

In 1701 Bjorn and Carl Pedersonner were said to have had 1 5/9 "ksk" together. The year after this property was more exactly specified: The brothers Bjorn, Carl and Peder had 4/9 "ksk" each, their sister Ingeborg had 2/9 "ksk".

Bjorn Pedersen was a skipper. In 1706 he skippered a little vessel, 4 "lester" (I think this signifies certain weight, but I don't know the meaning) as so many other skippers he was summoned to Strengereid Court on February 26, 1711 for not paying a certain fee. He appeared in court and explained that he had been a skipper for 4 years and married the same length of time, and before he had become a skipper had lived on sailor's wages. He was ordered to pay, since both he and his brother Carl and several others were skippers in 1706 and 1707.

Bjorn Pedersen died in May 1738, probate on Febraury 14, 1739. Amoung the books was noted Dr. Martin Luther's Sermons. Besides amoung other things a large gold ring "with two large inlaid crystals", and 9 silver spoons with the inscription BPSSAMD 1709. Anniken Madsdatter survived her husband.
