Blaine Edward Grady of Woodburn passed away Friday, June 28, 2019, at the age of 91. He died peacefully at Meridian Park Hospital in Tualatin, Oregon with his beloved granddaughter (Roberta) and great-granddaughter (Abigail) by his side.

Blaine was born on March 3, 1928, in Parkersburg, West Virginia to Aaron Moses and Mary Blanche Grady. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1945 and served in WWII in the South Pacific. In 1948, he was transferred to Astoria, Oregon where he met his wife, Marylee Leona Davis. They married on March 2, 1949. He continued with his career in the Navy before retiring in 1968 after 23 years of service at which time they moved to Albany, Oregon. He began working as an Electronics Technician for Wah Chang that same year. He later moved to Woodburn, Oregon in 1971 to be closer to family and eventually retired from Wah Chang in 1986.

Blaine is survived by his granddaughter, Roberta Avila and husband, Anthony Avila; great-granddaughters, Chloe and Abigail Avila of Sherwood, Oregon, and brother, Clark Wayne Grady of Lafayette, Indiana. He is preceded in death by his wife, Marylee; daughters, Peggy Falconer and Judy Grady; parents, Aaron and Mary Grady; sisters, Rachel Knight, Ruth Smith, Emma Scarberry, Luda Arnott, Wanda Powell, Betty Reed and Mary Jane Fountaine, and brothers, Dwayne Grady, Dwight Grady, Walter Grady and Harold Grady.

A funeral is scheduled for 11:00 am Wednesday, July 10, 2019, at St. Luke's Church in Woodburn, Oregon, immediately followed with burial including military honors at St. Luke's Cemetery. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Blaine's life. Condolences may be sent to 1101 Koffler Avenue, Woodburn, Oregon 97071.
