Bridget Theresa Gervasoni

Bridget, second daughter of John and Anne Hallinan, of Fryerstown.was born at Fryers Creek. Bridget was married to Battista Gervasoni on the 1st. July, 1896, at St John's R.C. Church, Yandoit, by the Rev. Father McGee. Battista was eldest son of Carlo and the late Maria Gervasoni (nee Formentini), of Yandoit Hills/Creek. (Bridget's older sister, Anne, was Carlo Gervasoni's second wife)

Bridget and Battista purchased "The Pines" Yandoit 1906, and moved to darying as share farmers at Newstead in the teens. The are known to have lived in 2 houses in Newstead "Riverview" and "Rose Cottage." Rose cottage, the the former Kidd mill property and a former hotel near the Loddon River was on the Maryborough coach route just out of Newstead. Battista died at Newstead 1941, at 'Rose Cottage', Newstead, Bridget died there in 1951 Buried at the Blessed Laurence O'Toole churchyard, Sandon.
