About Bridget Kane
Bridget's mother (Bridget Carroll) was the second cousin of Charles Carroll of Carrollton, one of the signers of the declaration of independence and a second cousin to Bishop John Carroll, the first bishop in the U.S. and founder of Georgetown University and Daniel Carroll, a signer of the U.S. Constitution.
She and her husband, Thomas Kane, and their family spent most of their life at 235 Ovington Avenue, Bayridge, New York (a section of Brooklyn) that the owned. It was a huge brownstone near the water. Carroll Gardens near her home was named after her famous Carroll relatives who were founding fathers of our great country.
