About Bridget Kennedy
After Patrick died of cholera in 1858, Bridget worked as a maid for an affluent protestant family, and faced discrimination. Then she worked at a Stationery & Notions Store, and with the help of her daughters, was able to purchase the store. She then added groceries and liquor to the inventory.
