Mrs. McCarthy, 74, Taken By Death Dies in Cleveland After Short Illness

Mrs. Brigid McCarthy, 74, 1127 9th St died at 10:15 am Monday in St. John's Hospital Cleveland after a short illness.

Mrs. McCarthy was well known in Lorain and was a pioneer member of St. Mary Church. Her husband Thomas preceded her in death, October 31, 1927.

Mrs. McCarthy is survived by 5 sons, Thomas Jr., Cleveland, Dr Justin McCarthy, Bellvadere Ill., Gerald, Oberlin, James & Joseph of Lorain; two daughters, Ella & Mary both at home; a sister, Mrs. J. H. Maney, Chicago, two brothers James & John McGovern Ire;and and four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at the home of the deceased at 9:30 am Friday and at St. Mary's church at 10:00 am with the Very Rev E.J. Ahern, pastor officiating. Burial will be in the family lot in Calvary cemetery with the Reidy Scanlan Co., in charge.
