In 1127 he was the prince of Izyaslavl and Logozhsk (Logoysk). It is possible that he received this inheritance after 1116, when these lands were taken from Gleb, and their previous prince Roman died in exile. Probably, at the same time, the agreement between Kyiv and Polotsk was sealed by the marriage of Bryachislav with Xenia, the daughter of Mstislav Vladimirovich. This did not save Bryachislav Davydovich from theft.

In 1127, Mstislav the Great (Mstislav Vladimirovich) attacked the Polotsk land, wanting to punish those princes who did not recognize him as the Grand Duke. He divided his army into several detachments, which were supposed to attack the most important cities of Polotsk. The squad of his son Izyaslav moved to Logozhsk. Bryachislav, not knowing about this, led the Logozhsky squad onto Polotsk, trying to help his father, but fell directly into the hands of Izyaslav.

Bryachislav was married to Izyaslav's sister, and therefore the battle did not happen. Bryachislav was cordially greeted by his brother-in-law, and the people of Logozhsk, seeing this, themselves surrendered to Izyaslav. Despite the relationship, Bryachislav was among the Polotsk princes exiled by Mstislav to Constantinople. Nothing is known about his further fate.
