Bunker Gay Hubbard

Bunker Gay Hubbard was born on February 28, 1774 in Chesterfield, New Hampshire to Ephraim Hubbard, Jr. and Lucy Willard.

In 1799, Hubbard married Sybil Willard. Together, they had 10 known children: Maria, Lucy, Sally, Vashti, Benjamin W., Charles, Esther, Gratia, Mary, and Julia.

Very little information exists on Bunker or his life. His wife's family was better known in town and he is better known for being the son-in-law of Thomas Willard and Sarah Farwell than for any of his own accomplishments. He does not appear in the History of Chesterfield, Cheshire Co., NH that was published in 1882. His existence is only known through family Bibles and basic town records.

Bunker died in 1854 at the age of 80. He is buried in the Willard Cemetery in Chesterfield.

Note: He is not the man known as Bunker G. Hubbard born on July 26, 1798 and who also lived in Chesterfield.
