Christian Knox is buried in the Westminster Memorial Park, Westminster, Orange County, CA. Garden # 31, section B Christina- grave #155 Christian- grave #156 ---------------------------------------On March 2,2001 I spoke to an employee of the cemetery (Barbara)(phone call to 714-889-1031)said that records show - the plots were purchased in 1933 for $50 for both. Cost now would be $7,000. Vaults were $5 - now would be $595. In May 2001, Barbara no longer works at the cemetery. Gina went there and looked for a stone and didn't find it. We will take another look sometime.

On March 2, 2001 I spoke to the Harrell and Brown funeral home in Santa Ana, Orange County, CA.(Now they are named Brown Funeral Home.) They handled the funeral arrangments for Christian and Christina (from Oregon), but had no records for that time period.

Death certificate states that he was 85 years, 5 mos., 8 days Christian lived in Westminster for 8 years= since 1925. Years in CA 20= since 1913 Years in US 60= since 1873 Was a farmer for 80 years

Lived on South Plaza St., Westminster at the time of death in 1933.. Grandma Bert said that Grandma and Grandpa Knox lived in a house on the corner across from the park square. Her father, Albert William Knox built the house for his folks. The house was on the corner just east of their house in 1930. It is said that his mother and father kept Amanda in Illinois until Albert married Johanna and then they brought Amanda out to him. It is also said that perhaps only Grandma(Christina) brought Amanda and Christian came soon after.

Christ Knox and family were German, but migrated to Prussia and then when they were to be put in the Army, left for America. The father, Christian Knox, Sr. most likely died in Germany before 1873 when Christian Knox's oldest brother Michael Knaack brought their mother Eva and her three youngest children to US and settled in WI
