About Calvin Parry Palmer
Calvin Palmer, 77, retired farmer, died Sunday, April 28, at Memorial Hospital. He had been in poor health for several years and had been hospitalized for several weeks.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Methodist Church in Miller, with Pastor Charles Brown in charge of services. Burial will be made in Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Harry and Dave Huisman, Walter Johnson, Lyle and Morris Droppers and Lester Gaudig.
The Reck Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Palmer was born May 17, 1890, and had farmed in the county for many years. Following retirement, he moved to Miller, and for several years was employed as caretaker at Crystal Park.
Survivors are his wife, Blanche, eight daughters, Mrs. Ivan (Hazel) Hancock, Mrs. George (Ella) Kuper, and Mrs. Robert (Ida) Moser, Ree Heights; Mrs. Frank (Merley) Johnson and Mrs. Floyd (Una) McKinney, Miller; Mrs. Willard (Margaret) Lewellen, Bird Island, Minn.; Mrs. Lowell (Stella) Christianson and Mrs. Martin (Dorothy) Manning of Minneapolis, and one son, Loren, of Minneapolis.
