- Pierre Soumande was the captain of the ship "Honoré", also named "Saint-Honoré" in 1683 and 1688. The Saint-Honoré was a 150-200 tons ship that made regular Attlantic crossings between La Rochelle, France and Québec, New-France in the later half of 1600s.
