"Samuel Hall, son of John and Jane Hall, went to Wallingford with the first planters in 1670. He married Hannah Walker, May, 1668, and died March 5, 1725, ae. 77 years. She died Dec. 20, 1728.

Dea. John Hall. Born ca 1644 in New Haven, CT. John was baptized in First Congregational Society, New Haven, on 9 Aug 1646. John died on 2 Sep 1721 in Wallingford, CT.
John was the first deacon of the church at Wallingford. He was a selectman in 1675; he was deputy to the General Court held at Hartford, 1687.

Children: John b 12-23-1670, Hannah b 3-1673 m Ebenezer Doolittle, Sarah b 6-20-1677, Samuel b 10-10-1680, Theophilus b 2-5-1686, Elizabeth b 3-6-1690, m. John Moss.
He was the Captain, King Phillips' War, 1704, one of the great Indian wars. Also served in the French and Indian War. In 1704, he was Captain of the "Train Band". He was Deputy of the General Court during the years of 1698, 1700, 1701, 1703, 1705. In 1718 as selectman, he voted against the petition of West Farms, Cheshire, asking the legislature for liberty to be a village.
He owned a large share of land in Meriden, CT and bought the propriety of Thomas Judd at Waterbury, CT. which property was afterward known as Thomas Judd Hall's land. A deacon of Wallingford church. He was by occupation a turner or "disturner" like his brother John. He had eight children.
He was one of the witnesses to his father's will, John, Deacon. John the Elder, was his grandfather. He was the ancestor of Honorable Lyman Hall of Georgia and Honorable S.H.P. Hall of Binghampton, NY
