Samuel Smith’s parents were Thomas Smith 1st & Elizabeth Patterson, the only child of Edward & Elizabeth Patterson. Samuel was their 9th child b. May 24, 1681.

Capt Smith married

• (2) Sarah daughter of George & Mercy (Denison) Pardee, wid, John Thompson, born c. 1695, died 9 Jan 1749 ae 54 EHT."

Married Anna, Dec 30 1708, da. Eleazer & Ann (Osborn) Morris.
