Captain Charles Swanston

Captain Charles Swanston, the husband of Georgiana Sherson, was a banker in Hobart and the financier of The Port Phillip Association for John Batman in 1835.

The Swanston children were born in Tasmania, Geelong, Harrow, and Inverleigh. Swanston owned Murgheboluc, Gnawarre and Koolomurt pastoral leases in 1844. Ref: http://adbonline.anu.edu.au/biogs/A020460b.htm

Not sure about the birth places.....perhaps Madras India for RS Swanston?

He died on the way back from San Francisco in 1850 after visiting RSS and was buried at sea.
