He was named in a patent 30 Dec 1680 and was designated "Captain" in a record at Albany, 21 Dec 1680. He died 7 Dec 1693. Among the bequests in his will dated 8 Oct 1742 were all his lands in Hunterdon Co., New Jersey "to his sons Douwe and Benjamin."

• He used the surname Corsen. His descendants were the Corsons of Staten Island.
