He was a private in the New Jersey State Troops. Corporal, Sergeant and orderly sergeant in the Gloucester co. Militia. He was 21 at the time of his enlistment. During the Revolution, the British offered a reward for his head. Applied for his Revolutionary War pension on 15 October, 1832 (New Jersey line # S6252, tracking # 90027768, date of search was Aug. 14 1998 at BYU. Call # E225.W55)
