• April 13, 1665 he served on the coroner's jury.
• Sept. 26. 1667 , he and Andrew Mansfield served as attorneys for the selectmen of Lynn.
• Sept, 4, 1686 he was one of " seven men" to receive the Indian Deed of Lynn.

His will dated April 13, 1703. In it he mentions his wife Loois ( Lois) also his daughters Ruth Burrill, Sarah Pickerering, sons, Samuel, Theophilus, Ebenezer, and John. Inventory , dated Mat 19th, 1703.Estate valued at 1158.0.00 pounds. Both he and his wife are buried at The Old Burial grounds in Lynn, Ma.
