About Captain John Noyes, III

Was at Ticonderoga in 1758, and fought in the Revolution from the battle of Bunker Hill to the surrender of Burgoyne and Cornwallis.

John Noyes, (1740-84), was a minute man at the Lexington Alarm. He served as second lieutenant at Bunker Hill and was commissioned captain, 1777, in Col. Samuel Johnson's regiment. He was born in Newbury where he died.
