About Captain John Strode, Sr
Captain John Strode built the first station in Clark County, KY. By the year 1781, the station included 25 cabin homes. In March of 1781, Strode Station was attacked by Indians. Two men were killed and all the livestock were destroyed.
Fought in the Revolutionary War.
