Carel Ferreira (1988 - 2013)

Brief overview:

Carel (25), was shot in the shoulder along Fraser Street, in Brakpan, when visisting a friend, on Saturday February 18th 2012. He and his friend were reversing out of the driveway around 09h50, when occupants of a blue or black Volkswagen Polo drove slowly down the street and opened fire on the pair. Carel was taken to the Far East Rand Hospital, but later transferred to the Charlotte Maxeke Hospital in Johannesburg, where he passed away on Thursday February 23rd 2012.

Police were able to make up an identikit of the shooter - a coloured male, aged between 24 and 27 years, slender with short hair and spoke English. At the time of the incident he wore a white T-shirt.
