Carl Andreas Kierulff [a.k.a. Kjerulff] was born on November 11, 1786 in Christiansand, Norway. [Born in Norway and baptized on 2 November 1786 in the Lutheran Church. ] He was an Attorney [Prokurator]. He was a resident of St. Croix, and on 18 April 1812, he departed Christiansted, destined for England. He was married on February 17, 1816 in the St. Croix Danish Lutheran Church to Petrine Johanne Caroline Wiinberg, who was born in about February 1800 and baptized in the St. Croix Danish Lutheran Church on February 12, 1800. She died the day after giving birth, 10 November 1816, to their daughter, Petrine. He was married again in the Danish Lutheran Church on 6 April 1822, to Alice Andersen, who was born on December 29, 1803 in London, England. On 1 February 1828, he received a Burgher Certificate. She died on November 20, 1838. I n November 1841, he was living with his children at his own property, 33 & 34 Strand Street, Christiansted, as a widower, a Lawyer and a Summary Judge Advocate in the Militia. In November 1846, he was living with his children at his own property, 33/34/35 Strand Street, Christiansted, a widower, employed as the Upper and Lower Court Advocate by royal appointment, and summary Judge Advocate. He died on St. Croix on January 23, 1849, and was buried the following day.
