Carl Raymond (Samuel) Baxter

Minor Child Carl was adopted by Elmer D. Baxter and Orphia Baxter, his wife, petitioned the Maion county probate court for the adoption of Carl S. Holiday, a minor child aged thirteen months. Mrs Baxter is the mother of the child. But was divorced from her first husband before the child was born. On March 27 1903, she was married to Elmer D. Baxter, and they desire now that the child shall be, to all legal intents and purposes, their own. The court granted the petition and decreed that the minors name be changed to Carl S. Baxter. The parties are residents of this city.
