About Carl Cowden Ingram
Carl C. Ingram, 82, longtime Crosbyton resident, died at 6 a.m. Sunday in Methodist Hospital in Lubbock after a short illness. Services will be at 4 p.m. today in the First United Methodist Church here with the Rev. Lee Crouch, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Crosbyton Cemetery under the direction of King Funeral Home.
Ingram was born in Blunt County, Al., and moved to Crosbyton in 1909. He had worked as a tax accountant for the past 12 years and had been re-elected as Justice of the Peace for Precinct 2 of Crosby County last week.
Survivors include his wife, Ida; two sons, Bobby of Levelland and John of 2504 Ave. P, Lubbock; three stepsons, Cecil Patrick of Portales, Joe Bass of Clarendon and Connie Bass of Tulsa, Okla.; a daughter, Mrs. Claudia Hockenberry of Lubbock; a brother, Claude of Hollis, Okla.; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
