Carl Oscar Peterson

Son of Alma (or Alicia) Anderson & P Peterson.

Carl immigrated to the US in 1902 & settled in Campton Township, Kane Co., Illinois, working for the Vanderhoofs.

He married Jennie Bergeson (marriage record lists Burgerson) on February 4th, 1911, Kane Co., IL. The couple had four children together: Clifford (1911-1987, #152428310), Einar (1913-1987, #154671219), Hedvig "Jennie" (Charles F) Behrens (1915- ?), & Esther (1918- ?, died young, before 1930).

After his wife Jennie's early death Carl remarried to Alice née Backberg Johnson Amundsen (marriage record Armonson) on August 28th, 1920 in Chicago. Alice had children from her previous marriages but she & Carl had one child of their own: Irene (Marcel) Vanthournout (1925-1999, #55560451). Carl adopted Alice's youngest son Vernon Amundsen who took the Peterson name. The 1930 & 1940 census for Wayne, DuPage Co., IL list much of their blended family.
