Carol Sue Akers

Carol Sue Akers was born in Hazard,Kentucky To the late Loretta Baker and John T. Newell.

She attended Mc Napier High School and married Walter Akers. She raised a family while working two jobs in Nursing and Retail Management. Carol was a hard worker and always put others needs before her own despite having very little herself.

She loved sewing quilts and cooking.Carol was a great cook and liked watching Food Network and collecting recipes. Carol enjoyed watching Dancing With The Stars and playing games on Facebook.She loved listening to the Oldies and singing along with her beautiful voice. Spending time with
her daughter,grandchildren,great grandbaby and her son.

Carol lived in Florida, Kentucky, Ohio. Upon her death on April 28,2015 she resided in Selmer,Tennessee. Carol was an amazing woman,but more importantly an outstanding Mother.The best friend and teacher to ech of her kids. She gave them knowledge,instilled in them morals,and raised thm to be loving,hardworking and strong.Although Carol battled with many illnesses,she never allowed them to claim victory over her life. She was a strong woman who fought long and hard. She never gave up always stayed hopeful.

She will be remembered for her strength and her caring spirit. She was a loving Wife, Mother,Grand-Mother.

She is also proceeded in death by her husband of 30 years Walter Akers, brother; Butchie Newell, half sister; Wanda Tarter.
