Carol Iline Nichols was born 15 April 1930 in Gaylord, Otsego, Michigan to Rachel Ellen Arnold and Charles Robert Nichols.

Her siblings are: Levi Carpenter Nichols, Georgia Evaline Nichols, Lewis Nichols, Daniel Alonzo Nichols, Eva Shirley Nichols, Allen Robert Nichols, Orville Dale Nichols, Clyde Even Nichols, Melvin Arthur Nichols, Robert James Nichols, Gerald Nichols and Jeanette Lois Nichols.

On the 25th of September 1950 she married Donald Dean Howse in Lansing, Ingham, Michigan.

Donald and Carol Iline, had six children: Robert Allen, Marie Ellen, Jackie Lynn, Donna Iline, Deborah Dawn and David Lee Howse.

Carol died 30 May 1989 in Lansing, Ingham, Michigan.

She is buried at East Lawn Memory Gardens, Okemos, Michigan.

From the Lansing State Journal, June 1, 1989:

Howse, Carol I.

Lansing

Age 59, died May 30, 1989. Born April 15, 1930 in Gaylord, Mrs. Howse has been a resident of Lansing area, all of her life. She was a member of the New Covenant Christian Church and had devoted her life to the Lord and helping others (mostly her children and grandchildren).

"For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us." (Romans 8:18)

Surviving are her Xhusband, Donald D.; 4 daughters, Marie Garcia of Okemos, Jackie Walton of Grayling, Donna Huff of Lansing and Debra Eifert of Mason; 2 sons, Robert of Lansing and David of Okemos; 15 grandchildren; 3 brothers, Levi Nichols of Detroit, Allen Nichols of Perry and Gerald Nichols of Lake George; 2 sisters, Jeanette Nichols of Flint and Eva (Evie) Croad of Lansing.

Funeral services will be held Friday, 1 p.m. at the New Covenant Christian Church, 4415 W. St. Joseph Hwy., with The Rev. Jeff P. Williams, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in East Lawn Memory Gardens, Okemos. Friends may call at the Gorsline-Runciman Lansing Chapel beginning Thursday, 2 p.m. where the family will receive friends 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
