Born in Quiapo Manila. Daugher of Trinidad Barredo and Martin Ocampo.
Her education was attained in exclusive catholic schools, making her a typical colegiala in ways and speech. She met Rafael Palma at the Renacimiento office, where he was a writer. After marriage and 1901, she devoted her time to her children.
Success and fame of her eminent husband kept her humble and unassuming. Don Rafael Palma occupied very high positions in the government, each of which he assumed with efficiency and personal integrity.
She contributed her share both financial and personal to civic and educational institutions.
She was one of the founders of the Philippine Women’s College, and during the early years of its existence helped its president, Francisca Tirona Benitez in efforts to bring in desirable students from all parts of the Philippines.
