FROM OBITUARY: A humble life came to an end at a local hospital on Monday, January 23, 1989. She ware tired and death kind hands opened to the weary pilgrim Mrs. Carrie Walker Robinson the gate of immortality and let the oppressed go free. Her lips were sealed by the angel of silence. Her soul winged its flight from this earthly home to a place of eternal rest. Mrs. Carrie Walker Robinson was a native of Calvert, Alabama and a resident of Prichard, Alabama for a number of years. She was the daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Oler (Printella) Walker. She united with the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorage of the late Rev. M.C. Ezell, Sr.

Mrs. Carrie Walker Robinson loving memories will be forever cherished by a devoted husband, Deacon Edgar Robinson, Sr., Prichard, Alabama; four sons, John Walker, Houma, Louisiana, Edgar (Doris) Robinson, Jr., Rev. James (Rosalyn) Robinson, Dennis (Wanda) Robinson, all of Mobile, Alabama; five daughters, Anita (Walter) Richey, Gwendolyn (Charles) Thrash, Carolyn (James) Godbelt, Kathryn (Carl) Ambrose and Angelia Robinson all of Prichard, Alabama; fourteen grandchildren, Elliot, Darshell, Daria, DeMarco, Kenrico, Chante, Brian, LeTia, Mikael, Terrence, Tarus, LaShonda, Tracey, and Cody; six brothers, George (Audrey) Walker, Herman (Freddie Mae) Walker, Oler (Dorothy) Walker, Harry (Barbara) Walker, all of California, Willie (Sylvia) Walker and Noble Walker, both of Mobile, Alabama; two sisters, Berniece (Albert) Perry, Prichard, Alabama and Ella Mae (Peter) Adams, California.

Numerous neices(nieces), nephews and other relatives and friends. Carrie expected to pass through this world but once. Any good, therefore she could do, or any kindness that she could show to any human being, she did it then. She wanted not to defer nor neglect it, for Carrie Walker Robinson knew she would not pass this way again.
