Catharine (Garner) Beaver

Catharine, daughter of John Matthew Garner and Mary Brumbaugh, was born December 25, 1811. On March 17, 1831 she married John Beaver who was born June 30, 1808 in Huntingdon County. They resided on a farm near Entriken, Huntingdon County, and after his death on August 28, 1881 she continued her residence there with her son, John S. Beaver, until her death on June 7, 1893. Catharine was Lutheran and John was German Reformed. They had eleven children: Mary, Susan C., Elizabeth, Henry, Matthew G., Sarah Ann, Rachel, Samuel G., Catharine, John C. and Anthony W.
