Notes: The Complete Peerage vol.X,p.36-37. Born at Cockell Park, Northumberland, after the death of his half brother, Sir Robert Ogle, the 6th Lord Ogle of Bothel, it took a full three and a half years to Queen Elizabeth to ratify his letters of patent officially granting him livery, which were finally signed on 12 Feb 1566, officially creating him the 7th Lord Ogle Bothel, Baron of Bothel, Hepple and Ogle.
