Blair County, PA Will Book B, pp. 483-484The Last Will & Testament of Catharine DickKnow all men by these presents that I, Catharine Dick of Taylor Township Blair County and State of Pennsylvania Freeholder being in ill health but of sound and disposing mind and memory do make and publish this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills by me at the time hereof made. And as to my worldly estate and all the property Real Personal or mixed of which I shall die seized and possess or to which I shall be entitled at the time of my decease, I devise, bequeath and dispose thereof in the manner following, to wit. My will is that my Real Property Personal or mixed property to which I shall die or hold at my decease, I bequeath to my Daughter Catharine C. Dick to hold the same as long as she shall live or if my husband shall survive my the said Daughter the said Catharine C. Dick to have and to hold the same as long as he shall live I give to the said Samuel Dick my Husband and Catharine C. Dick my Daughter all the appurtenances belonging to me to have and to hold them as long as they both shall live.All the residue of my Estate Real Personal and mixed of which they both shall die shall be equally divided among my children.In Testimony whereof I the said Catharine C. Dick have to this my last will and Testament contained on one sheet of paper and have subscribed my name and affixed my seal this ninth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & sixty eight.Catharine "her X mark" Dick {Seal}Signed Sealed Published and declared by the above Catharine C. Dick who being duly sworn according to Law did depose and say that he was personally present & saw & heard Catharine Dick sign and execute publish pronounce & declare the within Instrument of writing as and for her last will & testament that he signed his name as witness thereto in the presence of and at the request of the said Testatrix and in the presence of Levi Neterer the other subscribing witness, and that at the time of signing the same the said Testatrix was of sound & disposing mind Memory and understanding to the best of his knowledge and belief.Michael. Dick who being sworn did depose & say that he is well acquainted with the signature of Levi Neterer who is one of the subscribing witnesses to the within Instrument of writing and that he verily believes the signature so attached to be in the proper handwriting of Levi Neterer and that he now resides outside the limits of this state.Jacob P.
