About Catherine Harper
http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=88664245
Catharine "Kitty" Carroll Harper was the youngest child of Charles Carroll of Carrollton (signer of the Declaration of Independence) and Mary Darnall (who died when Catharine was just 3 years old). She was born at Doughoregan Manor. She married Robert Goodloe Harper (U.S. Congressman from South Carolina, and, later, U.S. Senator from Maryland) on May 1, 1801 in Annapolis, MD. They had at least 6 children, only one of whom outlived Catharine Carroll Harper.
Her first name is often misspelled "Catherine," but the correct spelling of "Catharine" appears on tombstones and in Carroll family documents. At least 5 of her children are buried beside her(although her husband is buried in a different cemetery, alongside their eldest child, Charles).
