CATHERINE HEFFERNAN (d. 1964)

Mrs. James Heffernan, 85, of 427 N. Ninth St., Manitowoc, died Thursday morning
at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, after a short illness.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral
Home and at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manitowoc, the Rev. Claude
LeClair officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mrs. Heffernan, nee Catherine Morris, was born Sept. 27, 1878, at Osman, Town of
Meeme, daughter of Thomas and Margaret Taugher Morris.
She was married to Mr. Heffernan June 11, 1907, and the couple lived at Glenmore,
Brown County, coming to Manitowoc four years later. Her husband died Dec. 4, 1941.
She was a member of the Altar Society of Sacred Heart Church.
Surviving are three sons, Francis, of Two Rivers, Paul, of Manitowoc and William,
of Green Bay; three daughters, Mrs. Albert Pierson, Mrs. Walter Perry and Miss
Catherine Heffernan, of Manitowoc; three brothers, John and Steven Morris, of
Manitowoc and Dr. Francis Morris, of Los Angeles, Calif.; a sister, Miss Anna
Morris, of Manitowoc; 12 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Two sons and
a daughter and four brothers preceded her in death.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Friday where the Rosary will be
recited at 7:30 p.m. by the Altar Society, Mystical Rose Circle, Daughters of
Isabella, Knights of Columbus and the parish.
