Obituary

The late Mrs Catherine Brosnahan, who died at her son's residence, Kerrytown, on Monday last, was one of the oldest residents of this district, having landed at Lyttelton from the ship "Zealandia" in the year 1871. She leaves three daughters and four sons to mourn her loss, namely, Mrs J. Breen, Kerrytown; Mrs J. Scannell, Kerrytown; Mrs W. Perry, Temuka; Mr T. T. Brosnahan "Coonoor," Fairview; Mr H. T. Brosnahan "Pine Grove," Kerrytown; Mr P. Brosnahan, Albury; and Mr. C. Brosnahan, Ma Waro. Three daughters predeceased her. The late Mrs Brosnahan leaves eighty grandchildren and seventy great-grandchildren, some of whom have left for the front.
