1896 We are this week called upon to chronicle the death of another landmark in the person of the late Ann McCrimmon, relict of the late Archibald McRae, which sad event took place on the 12th inst., at the residence of her son in law , Mr. D. R. McLeod 7-9th Kenyon. The deceased emigrated to Canada in 1815, being then 18 years of age. Three years later she married the late Mr. Archibald McRae, who by the same way , had come out on the same ship. They had eleven of a family, six boys, and five girls, nine of whom are still living. Sixty –five grandchildren and thirty seven great grandchildren , added make in all one hundred and thirteen descendants . The deceased lady, although confined to her room for upwards of five years, held her natural faculties to the last, and with Christian resignation looked forward to reaching a happy home above.
