Catherine was born in Floyd County, Kentucky the daughter of George "Goldenhawk" Sizemore and Sally Anderson. On October 5, 1855 in Floyd County, Kentucky she married Samuel M. Montgomery the son of John Montomery Jr. and Sarah Flannery and grandson of John Montgomery and Susana Porter. Samuel and Catherine's children are; Alexander Montgomery, George A. Montgomery, Crittendon/Crithson, William M. Montgomery, Silas Montgomery, Elizabeth Montgomery, Dora Alice (Montgomery) Adams and Susan (Montgomery) Bohanan

Catherine states that she was born 1831, and she names 10 bro thers and sisters born between 1817 and 1837. Says that father who died in 1863 was living in Magoffin County, KY in 1851. This ECA then created confusion by giving the parents of George Sizemore as Henry Sizemore and (Swirup?) Anderson. Other ECA's seem to confirm that this George Sizemore was a brother to the Ned and Henry Sizemore.
