Catherine Moore Smith

Catherine was the daughter of Johann Michael and Christina Catharina Oelschlaeger Baeuerle from Schömberg (OA. Neuenbürg), Württemberg, Germany. She immigrated from Germany at the age of 18 in 1855 with her stepfather and mother. Mother changed her last name to Bierley from BAEUERLE. Catherine married Charles Moore in Delaware County on 29 November 1860 and had children: Francis Charles (1862), Tressa(1865), James Matthew(1867), Lovina (1870), and John (1872). Following Charles's death, she married Lewis Smith on 27 September 1883 in Wood County. Catherine died of pneumonia at the age of 91.
