About Cecilia Brown Ashton
Cecelia was the daughter of Hon. Philip B. Key and Rebecca Jowles (Sothoron) Key. She married Col. Henry Ashton (c.1784 - 27 Feb 1834) on 3 May 1804 in St. Mary's County, Maryland.

Ashton. Departed this life on the 2d instant, Mrs. Cecilia Ashton, of the City of Washington. The deceased was in her fifty-first year, and, as she lived beloved, so she died regretted, by a large circle of acquaintances.
Her funeral will take place on Friday evening at four o'clock, at the residence of Mr. Miles, at the corner of Pennsylvania Avenue and Twelfth Street, to which her friends are respectfully invited.

- To Thomas Carberry, in trust for the sole and separate use of my daughter Eleanor Miles, without control or liable for the debts of her husband, my piano, furniture, china, bed, 1/2 of bed furniture and 1/2 of wearing apparel.
- To daughter Cecelia the other 1/2 of wearing apparel and bed furniture.
- To daughter Jane Walker, blue cloak, pearl necklace, ear rings and breast pin to her for use and benefit of daughter Cecelia.
- To granddaughter Cecelia Stewart, my watch.
- To Rev. Mr. Mulledy of Georgetown College, in trust for use of my son Henry Ashton, my books, bookcase, plate, two servants, William and Sarah, all money in hands of my brother H.G.S. Key and son-in-law Mr.
