Her maiden name is uncertain, but Tenenbaum seems most likely. On her daughter Gussie's NYC marriage certificate, it looks like "Tenebauman". There were many Tenenbaums from Brest -- see, for example, the 1937 Brest taxpayers list at http://www.brest-belarus.org/rd/Brest1937taxpayers.i.html . However, there were no Tenebaums or Tenenbaumans, etc. One family tree on Ancestry listed her maiden name as Applebaum, so I've included that as an aka as well.
